Seems pretty clear, right? Well, of COURSE not. No, that's not what "no, I don't believe in gay adoption" means.
Well, I do believe in gay adoption. Matter of fact, if Beth and I die, our kids are gonna be raised by their married(!) lesbian godparents. Not to brag, but I walk the walk on this one.
I believe something else. Saying that he doesn't "believe in gay adoption", and then cravenly hiding behind his cronies' spin, doesn't make McCain a lesser candidate.
It makes him a lesser human being.
